Man of War

The windowshop exhibition ‚Man of War‘ at Casa Moderna (Willemstad/Curaçao) has a nautical theme and the title pays as well references to the sailing ship and the state of being full in arms -  as to the marine creature, the Portuguese Man of War.  In Papiamento also known as ‚Petchi Portugues‘ and commonly found in tropical regions.
With its distinctive blue colour and the strange alien-like beauty, it creates an ambiguity of attraction and yet peril. The exhibition is a lyrical interpretation of underlying dynamics, the circulation and the motion and will be translated into an abstract paper installation.
